Grandma’s Lamborghini Countach Uncovered After 20 Years Of Sitting In A Garage
Guy finds this classic 1981 Lamborghini Countach along with a Ferrari 308 stored in his grandma’s garage, both of which have been there for over 20 years
One of the best used car finds is sometimes a barn find, or a classic car, aircraft or motorcycle that has been discovered, often in derelict condition. That’s the case for Reddit user eriegin who happened to stumble upon a 1981 Lamborghini Countach, along with a Ferrari 308 stored in his grandma’s garage. According to the Reddit user, the cars were previously owned by his late grandpa, who bought the cars as part of the exotic car business he ran back in the ‘80s. Due to high insurance costs, his grandfather ended up just keeping the cars stored away in the garage, having them collect dust for over two decades.
The Countach is actually a piece of Italian history. Not only did it help set the bar for other sport car manufacturers but the model literally saved Lamborghini from closing its doors back in the day. While in its current condition, the Countach will likely not go for much, it’s still a great find none the less.
The Red Ferrari 308 found hanging in front of the Lamborghini is also quite the prized find. If you have happened to watch hit TV classics from the ‘80s then you’ll notice that it’s the same model that Tom Selleck drove around in the hit series Magnum, P.I. and was one of the most famous Ferraris during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s.
Hopefully, eriegin will be able to put in some time and money to help restore these beautiful cars back to their original condition.
