Disney is coming out with a ‘Star Wars’ digital animated series

Premiering today, “Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures” is a series of free animated shorts

Star Wars fans can’t get enough of Star Wars - and that’s a fact. To honor the fans obsession with the series and aid in introducing younger fans to the story, Disney and LucasFilm are working together on a new series of free animated shorts featuring everyone’s favorite characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Chewbacca, along with R2-D2 and C-3PO.

The series was designed with the idea of introducing a younger generation to the Galactic Empire and will feature “the classic themes, pivotal moments, and iconic characters.” The series will air on StarWarsKids.com starting today (November 30).

Of course, this also is all in correlation with building up anticipation for the upcoming “Star Wars: Episode IX” which is scheduled to release in December 2019 and is rumored to be the final episode of the saga.
