Serena Williams' Catsuit Has Been Officially Banned From The French Open
Serena Williams wore a Catsuit to the French Open this year and they weren't happy about it
The French Open has banned Serena William’s catsuit on the grounds that ‘one must respect the game.’ Williams wore the suit to this years French Open because it helped with her blood clots.
The suit, nicknamed 'catsuit,' is an all-black sleek body suit which has allowed the athlete to play her sport without the fear of her blood clots becoming an issue. Since having her daughter last year, Williams has experienced a number of health problems.
In an interview with NPR, Williams said, “I’ve had a lot of problems with my blood clots, God I don’t know how many I’ve had in the past 12 months…I’ve been wearing pants in general a lot when I play so I can keep the blood circulation going.”
In addition to the health benefits, Williams has said that she feels like a warrior in the suit and it’s her way of feeling like a superhero.
