The Galaxy Note 9 Is Allegedly Catching Fire

Although Samsung promised the Galaxy Note 9 wouldn’t randomly explode into flames, Diane Chung claims that hers did

When we first heard the story, we thought “There’s no way one of the new Samsung phones is blowing up like its predecessor did”. But according to Diane Chung, her newly purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 9 burst into flames while inside her purse earlier this month.

The real estate agent from Long Island says that she suddenly “heard a whistling and screeching sound, and she noticed thick smoke” before she threw the purse onto the elevator floor, burning her fingers as she picked up the smoking smartphone. Chung has already filed a lawsuit against the South Korean tech giant. In the suit she claims that the traumatic event left her unable to contact clients and ruined everything else that was in her bag.
