This Russian woman is buried beneath a massive iPhone tombstone
Rita Shameeva’s burial site features a massive iPhone tombstone that’s pretty hard to miss
We’re not going to lie, we have never seen a tombstone as interesting or as pronounced as the one Rita Shameeva has. The 25-year-old passed away back in 2016 in Ufa, Russia and now has a massive 5-foot iPhone tombstone above her grave. It was reported that her father Rais Shameev erected the monument two years after his daughter’s death.
According to HTB, the black basalt tombstone cost 104,000 rubles – which is equivalent to a little less than $1,600.
The large iPhone also features a QR code on the base and believe it or not, Shameeva isn’t the only one to have one of these massive iPhone tombstones. According to Twitter user Sarah Devin, the man responsible for creating the kazakh-language keyboard for iOS also has one.
