Flooded Ceremony

One couple, getting married this past Saturday (August 11) in the Philippines which is in the midst of monsoon season, was met with a flooded chapel on their wedding day. The bride, Jobel Delos Angeles, wasn’t too concerned. Instead, she walked down the aisle in the rain and the couple said their vows standing in the puddle.

In an interview with AFP, Delos Angeles said this about her wedding day: "Even if it floods or it rains, nothing can stop me. You only get married once, will you postpone it? I was marrying the man I love. My gown got wet and heavy but I told myself it was as if I was walking on a red carpet.”

All’s Fair In Love and Floods

This New Jersey couple, also married on Saturday, made it through a lovely and dry ceremony. However, when they were driving away from the chapel, they got caught in a flood. The groom mentions that the water was rising roughly an inch every 30 seconds. Thankfully, New Jersey police were nearby and spotted the flooding car. They helped the bride and groom out of the car, still in their wedding dress and suit, and drove them to safety.

It's been said that loves makes people do crazy things and of course there's always the romantic fantasy of kissing in the rain, but these two couples took it to a new extreme. The Sitch wishes both of them a lifetime of love and happiness and a continued ability to take whatever life throws their way.
