The trailer was released for 'Pokémon Detective Pikachu' and people don't know how to feel about it
There will be a live-action Pokémon film about Pikachu and people either love it or hate it
Pokémon Detective Pikachu will hit theaters on May 10, 2019. The story follows a furry live-action Pikachu (think "Ted") Detective who is helping with an investigation into another detective's disappearance. Pikachu and the missing detective’s son, Tim, work together to uncover the mystery "chasing clues together through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City." Other Pokémon characters like Jigglypuff, Mr. Mime, Charmander, and Bulbasaur also make appearances in the film.
Pikachu will be voiced by Ryan Reynolds and the film itself is produced by Warner Bros. Entertainment. It’s fair that say that most people are excited about the film itself, but can’t seem to be agreed upon, however, is what Pikachu looks like. Some say he's too furry, others say he's not furry enough, but either way, the film is being wholly overshadowed by the idea of what Pikachu would look like in real life.
Who knew that all this time Pikachu was a furry.— Kara Schlegl (@karaschlegl) November 13, 2018
