According to Michelle Obama, she and George W. Bush are 'Partners in Crime'
Partners in Crime Michelle Obama and George W. Bush are at it again with candy passing during funerals
During John McCain's funeral earlier this year, the internet went crazy over what appeared to be a candy exchange between former President George W. Bush and former first lady Michelle Obama. During George H.W. Bush's funeral yesterday (December 5), there appeared to be yet another candy exchange between the two.
According to Mrs. Obama, she didn't realize that anyone noticed they were exchanging candy during McCain’s funeral. She continued to say that former President Bush is her "partner in crime at every major thing where all the former (Presidents) gather. So we're together all the time, and I love him to death. He's a wonderful man. He's a funny man."
It appears that at Bush Sr.’s funeral, Bush preemptively thought to offer Obama a piece of candy and greeted her with a handshake that looked suspiciously like another candy exchange. Bush also gave a beautiful eulogy at H.W. Bush's funeral where he revealed that his last words were saying, "I love you, too."
Amidst the sorrow of losing Bush Sr., Obama and Bush were able to keep the emotions lighthearted and friendly among other presidents former and present, like Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.
