This guy's doorstop is actually worth $100k

This guy found out that his doorstop was actually a meteorite - and that it is worth $100,000

David Mazurek was just a normal guy with an incredibly abnormal doorstop. He heard that meteorite pieces could sell for thousands of dollars and eventually decided to get the rock examined by professionals. After having the rock examined, Mazurek was told that the meteorite was made up of iron and nickel…23 pounds to be exact.

Apparently, the meteorite had plunged onto his property in the 1930s, according to the previous owner. Mazurek knew the rock was special, but didn’t know just how special. Turns out that this meteorite is the sixth largest meteorite ever found in Michigan and is worth $100,000.

Now the question is…cash or check? Let us know what you think about this 23 pound hunk of nickel and iron in the comments section and be sure to subscribe to The Sitch for more rocky news and other entertaining reads.
