These Balloon Animals By Masayoshi Matsumoto Are Some Of The Coolest We’ve Ever Seen
Japanese artist Masayoshi Matsumoto makes amazing balloon sculptures of all types of animals and plants
Do you remember getting cool balloon animals at the county fair as a kid? Well, too bad Masayoshi Matsumoto wasn’t the guy making them for you back in the day. The Japanese artist makes some of the most insane balloon animals we’ve ever seen. Subjects range from birds to insects, mammals, and even plants. He’s already accumulated 31K followers on Instagram and it’s easy to see why. Below are some of our favorites pieces Matsumoto has made.
It’s amazing to see the level of detail that goes into each one. Unlike some other balloon sculptors, Matsumoto doesn’t use any adhesive or pencils and instead only uses latex balloons. Each piece takes him anywhere from three to six hours to construct. If only renowned artist Jeff Koons and Matsumoto were to team up for a collaboration - can you even imagine what that might look like?
