Now you can make a cocktail just like you make coffee - with a Keurig
Keurig and Anheuser-Busch are teaming up to bring us the ‘Drinkworks Home Bar’
Keurig and Anheuser-Busch are joining forces with the hopes of re-creating how cocktails are served in homes across America. Their creation - called the Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig - will provide pre-mixed cocktails and beer with the same ease of making coffee with a Keurig machine.
The Drinkworks Home Bar will use single pod servings (alcohol included) and transform them into cocktails. The machine has a touchscreen where users can make drinks, or they can also use the Drinkworks app to create and select drinks, order new pods, and even troubleshoot the machine.
The machine will cost $299 and each cocktail pod will be $3.99 (or four for $15.99). So far, the machine can make 15 cocktails including staples like the Moscow mule, margarita, mojito, and Long Island iced tea. In addition to the cocktails, the machine will also be able to make beers like Beck's, Bass, and Stella Artois. The time that it takes the machine to make the drink varies by drink from about 25 seconds to 1 minute and the drinks can be made in any of three sizes: 3.9 ounces, 6.5 ounces, or 8.1 ounces.
In addition to purchasing the machine itself, along with the pods, users will also have to fill the machine with water and purchase a CO2 tank (each CO2 tank will be able to make between 15-18 drinks). The Drinkworks Home Bar will be available on Drinkworks' website and select physical retailers starting on November 19th.
This Drinkworks Home Bar has the potential to become the newest household must-have and we can't wait to try it out. What do you think about the Drinkworks Home Bar? Let us know in the comments section below and be sure to subscribe to The Sitch for more cocktail news and other entertaining reads.
