Why You’ll Want A Jet Capsule “Mini Yacht”
Lazzarini Design’s Jet Capsule is a mini yacht that lets you cruise around in style without breaking the bank
When you think of yachting (and even boating) you probably think that you'll automatically have to spend a boatload of money just to have the luxury. Well, that’s not always the case. Our Italian friends over at Lazzarini Design have worked to bring us their version of a mini yacht that looks like it could have came out of a James Bond movie.
While the Jet Capsule boat only measures 24ft by 12ft, it has a 500 hp engine that helps it get up and go. While not quite as big as a regulation yacht (which by definition needs to be at least forty-four feet long), this little guy can still hold up to thirteen people, including the captain.
The main deck, although mostly covered, lets in a ton of light from its surrounding windows, which also happen to pop open. The inside is fully customizeable and is filled with benches, tables and even a bed. There’s also a toilet for those longer outings at sea. The ladder in the back allows for you to quickly get to the roof so you can easily lay back and get some sun on the sundeck.
While not as expensive as a conventional yacht, the Jet Capsule is still a bit pricier than your average boat – costing around $150,000, depending on which custom specs you go with. But hey, all you need is a few people to throw in with you and all of you will have your own mini yacht. The video below shows what it’s like to ride around in the boat for those of you who want to know what the experience is like.
