There's A Harry Potter Augmented Reality Game Coming Soon
Potterheads will love this new augmented reality Harry Potter game coming in 2019
The company behind "Pokémon Go" has co-developed a new game for wizards and witches everywhere. "Harry Potter: Wizards Unite" is a new augmented reality game based on the hit book and movie series, Harry Potter. Similar to "Pokemon Go," players will be able to explore real-world surroundings in order to solve a global mystery, cast spells, and meet fantastic beasts and characters from the series.
A promo on the game's website says, "traces of magic are appearing across the Muggle world without warning and in a rather chaotic manner. We worry it is only a matter of time before even the most incurious Muggles catch wind of it. We call on all witches and wizards to help contain the Calamity or risk the worst of time since You Know Who. Brush up on your spells, get your wand ready, and enlist immediately." The game will be free to download and play and was designed by Niantic and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Portkey Games and is set to release sometime in 2019.
