Taiwanese Grandfather Chen San-yuan Uses 11 Phones To Play Pokémon GO
Chen San-yuan might be the ultimate Pokémon master, using 11 phones tied to his bicycle to play Pokémon GO
If you thought that you were good at playing Pokémon GO (or even if you still play Pokémon GO) then there’s a good chance that you’re nowhere as good as this Taiwanese man, who might just be the world’s best Pokemon master.
The 70-year-old grandfather Chen San-yuan, otherwise known as Uncle Pokémon has configured his bicycle to house eleven smartphones so that he’s able to truly have the best chance at catching them all. He even has plans of adding four new devices to the bike soon.
While San-yuan originally found out about the game from his grandson, he now strolls the streets up to 20 hours at a time before needing to return home to recharge his devices. This is all thanks to a portable battery that he keeps in a basket on the bicycle, which allows him to continuously hunt for Pokémon throughout the capital city, Taipei. It’s been reported that San-yuan spends more than $1,290 a month on his video game habit.
Taiwanese news channel EXP.GG originally found San-yuan and interviewed him back in June, when he was only using nine phones. The interview can be watched below.
We love to see how even after two years, Pokémon GO is still helping keep people active throughout the world. Let us know what you think about San-yuan’s setup in the comments section below and be sure to subscribe to The Sitch for more Pokemon news and other entertaining reads.
