GoPro To Release 3 New HERO7 Cameras This Month
The latest GoPro HERO7 Black now comes with HyperSmooth stabilization and a few other cool new features
Earlier today, GoPro announced not one but three new versions of its portable action camera. While the casing and overall design of the cameras look pretty much the same as the previous couple of models, the tech company has new White and Silver versions that will be sold alongside its staple Black model. The $399 HERO7 Black now has a cool in-camera HyperSmooth stabilization, which is nearly on par with the stabilization you would expect to get from a gimbal. The new TimeWarp feature is a hyperlapse on steroids of sorts. With the new camera, you’re able to record 4K up to 60 fps, as well as 1080p up to 240 fps. Unfortunately, the GoPro can still only take 12mp pictures (up to 30 fps). One cool new feature about the latest line of action cameras is that you can now take vertical videos, which are great for online platforms like IGTV.
And just in case the $399 price tag is a little too much for your GoPro needs, then you’ll be happy to know that the $299 HERO7 Silver and $199 HERO7 White editions still aren’t too shabby. Although the Silver doesn’t boast 4K 60fps or the awesome HyperSmooth stabilization that the Black does, it still comes with "significantly improved" video stabilization and can shoot vertical video and 4K up to 30fps. The entry-level While model pretty much has the same features that the Silver model does except that it shoots 1080p60 footage.
If you’re in need of a new GoPro, then be sure to put your pre-order in now. The three new GoPro HERO7 models will be available in stores September 27 internationally and September 30 in the US.
