Facebook Watch Is Now Live All Over The World

Facebook Watch, a video watching platform on Facebook, went live internationally today

Facebook Newsroom announced today that Facebook Watch will now be available everywhere around the globe. According to Facebook, Facebook Watch gives “people around the world a new way to discover great videos and interact with friends, creators, and other fans.” The platform also has a few cool features like Facebook Watch Party, which makes it easier to watch and react to videos with large groups and friends.

Facebook Watch launched a year ago in the US, and has been quite the success. Facebook users can easily find and share shows, video creators all through the Facebook platform. People can also easily start conversations around the videos they're watching and even reach out to the video creators themselves. The video watching experience on Facebook is meant to be a social one and makes it easier to see which videos friends have liked or shared.

Every month, approximately 50 million Americans spend at least one minute watching a video through Facebook Watch. We can only imagine how much that number will grow now that the platform has been launched globally.

Along with launching Watch globally, Facebook is also expanding their Ad Breaks program (ie, commercials) so that more video makers can make money by having their videos on Facebook, similar to how creators are able to monetize their content on YouTube.
