Facebook is testing a new voice command feature for messenger and calls

Pretty soon, you’ll be able to use your voice to send messages on Facebook

In today’s world, people are becoming accustomed to using their voice to command an electronic device to do something. Things like, “Hey Siri - remind me to feed the dog at 8 am” or “Hey Alexa - turn on the light” are becoming pretty common. Meet M, the first digital assistant to come to social media.

Facebook is currently testing a new digital assistant feature that will allow users to dictate and send messages, call people, and create reminders. The new voice control feature would possibly make Facebook Messenger simpler and easier to use in situations where the user might not be able to type (like while they’re driving).

The feature was discovered by Jane Manchun Wong, who posted a video on Youtube showing how M could potentially work.
