Eminem Took Out A Full-Page Ad To Diss The Music Critics Who Dissed Him
Apparently taking out a full-page ad to slam your haters is Eminem’s new version of a diss track
As if it wasn’t enough that Eminem practically murdered Machine Gun Kelly in a recent diss track, the rapper is now going out for other critics via a full-page ad in The Hollywood Reporter's magazine. In collaboration with Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope, Shady decide to print the ad dissing critics while also promoting his new record Kamikaze. The Oscar-ad-esque piece features a variety of negative reviews, along with the headline “Not for your consideration!”
One of the negative reviews featured even came from THR itself. Even though both the ad and feud with Machine Gun Kelly are probably one big marketing gimmick to sell records, it seems to be working. According to the ad, Eminem’s Kamikaze debuted at number one in 103 countries in August and sold 434,000 equivalent album units in the US the first week.
