The Chainsmokers have formed a production company
The Chainsmokers are trying on their producer hats with their production company, ‘Kick The Habit Productions’
The Chainsmokers will forever be knit into the musical fabric of the late 2010s - their hit songs "Paris," "Something Just Like This," "Closer," and "Don't Let Me Down" were all highly successful chart-topping anthems, and now the duo is working on their next adventure as producers with their production company Kick The Habit Productions.
Kick The Habit Productions will develop and projects for both film and TV. The company’s first film will be a film inspired by The Chainsmokers’ song "Paris." The idea was pitched to them by Mickey Rapkin, who wrote the book that Pitch Perfect was based on.
Dan Marcus will be the chief operating officer and president while Adam Alpert (CEO of Disruptor Records) will be the CEO. The Chainsmokers is a duo with Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, who released a joint statement saying they are "beyond thrilled to have launched Kick the Habit Productions as we continue to bridge the gap between our overall artistic vision, the entertainment industry as a whole and our fans. The age of being only a musician is over and we're excited to go all-in on this venture to curate, produce and create meaningful projects."
