Fan Faces Charges After Rushing After Beyoncé And Jay-Z On Stage
Beyoncé and Jay-Z run away from a crazy fan while on their "On The Run II" tour
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, collectively known as “The Carters," are currently on tour. Their concert name, “On the Run II,” took on a literal meaning after their concert on Saturday.
The Carters walk off-stage holding hands after another successful night on tour at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple is almost off-stage when all of a sudden there’s a man behind them. A fan, presumably drunk, runs up on stage and chases after them.
Although it’s pretty remarkable he was able to make it as far on stage as he did, the 26-year-old Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell was quickly stopped by security and backup dancers.
Beyoncé’s spokeswoman has confirmed that both Jay-Z and Beyoncé are unharmed from the incident.
Maxwell was initially only issued a citation for disorderly conduct but the police have now arrested him and are convicting him with the charge of simple battery, which is using unauthorized force to the body of another person according to Legal Match.
