This is proof that true friendship exists and that Twitter can really bring people together

Long-lost friends have finally been reunited thanks to a tweet that went viral

It all started 12 years ago on a dinner cruise. Two girls, Brianna and Heidi, were some of the only children on the cruise and so they became fast friends. After the cruise, they lost touch but Brianna had a picture of the two of them together. Years later, she found the picture while going through old scrapbooks and started to wonder how her long-lost friend was. Like any resourceful young adult would do, Brianna took to Twitter for help.

The tweet quickly went viral and was re-tweeted over 120,000 times. Brianna was astonished to see how much the internet took to helping her out that she even joked about wanting to find a husband, too. Eventually, the long-lost friend was discovered to be Heidi Tran who tweeted that she hadn't even been on Twitter in years and the first thing she saw was a search party for her.

Within a day, Brianna had gone from wondering how her long-lost friend was, to going viral on Twitter, to actually locating Heidi. Twitter users naturally responded to the reunion and were so happy that the pair had been reunited.
