Amazon is bringing Amazon Go to New York
Amazon is opening its seventh Amazon Go store and it will be located in New York’s Financial District
Although there are already a few Amazon Go stores in Seattle, as well as in Chicago and San Francisco, it’s officially time to bring the cashierless stores to the Big Apple. According to Recode, New York’s first Amazon Go store will be located in Brookfield Place, which is a shopping center in the Financial District right across from the World Trade Center. This new store will be the seventh Amazon Go location within the United States and there’s also a San Francisco location that opened today that will rival competing stores like Zippin. These new futuristic stores don’t use cash but do use cameras and sensors to facilitate the sale of various products ranging from snacks to pre-made sandwiches.
Given that most of our writers are located here in New York, we’ll definitely be heading to the new Amazon Go location as soon as it opens. What do you think about the new cashierless stores?
