Demi Lovato Posts First Statement On Instagram Since Overdose
Demi Lovato takes to Instagram, asking for time to heal and focus while she continues to fight
It’s been nearly two weeks since America’s sweetheart, Demi Lovato overdosed at her house following an all-night party. While she’s been recovering in the hospital, she has also been radio silent on social media until now.
Lovato posted the above message on Instagram one day ago. While the singer asks the world for time to heal and focus while she continues to fight, the note does not reveal any specifics about the incident that led to her hospitalization on July 24.
This past March, Lovato celebrated six years of sobriety before releasing her song “Sober”, signifying that she was back to fighting her substance abuse. The song, which features lyrics like "Momma, I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore / And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor" can be watched below. We here at The Sitch are thankful that Lovato is ok and we hope that she makes a swift recovery.
