Drake's New Music Video Is Star Studded

Drake's new music video for "In My Feelings" is filled with stars - we've got the breakdown

Drake's "In My Feelings" music video was released yesterday and already has over 8 million views on Youtube. The song is currently #1 on the Billboard Top 100 and has been for the last 3 weeks. This song might even end up being crowned the "song of the summer" due to the viral “Kiki Challenge” that has ensued where people are getting out of their car and dancing to the song while the car is still in motion (totally safe, right?)

The music video starts out with a Romeo and Juliet type scene in which Drake is throwing rocks at Kiki’s (played by La La Anthony) window. When she finally comes to the window, Drake asks why he hasn't heard from her and claims that he loves her. Kiki’s response is “if you loved me, you’d take those other girls off your phone.” Her mom (played by the iconic Phylicia Rashad from The Cosby Show) then comes out and asks him to “take his Jordans off her drive” and leave. After having to come out and ask him a second time, he finally drives away and the music begins.

We suddenly find ourselves in New Orleans with Drake wearing a grill and singing "In My Feelings." The video has a very dream like state to it and a lot of the film is kind of grainy - as if it’s been filmed in the 70s for a home video. Once the song ends, Drake wakes up abruptly and his friend is sitting with him and similar to Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Drake says he had the weirdest dream where he was singing his song and wearing a grill and was in New Orleans and he was dancing to the song and then the whole world was dancing to the song. Suddenly, a guy that is featured in the music video dancing on a bus shows up as a stage manager to tell Drake that it’s time to film his new music video. Drake freaks out and says he’s not ready yet and asks for 10 more minutes. The music video concludes with the end credits and clips from the Kiki Challenge.

The entire music video is filled with stars - aside from the two featured stars in the opening scene, there are appearances by Shaggy (who is said to have started the Kiki Challenge), Yung Miami, Big Freedia, Will Smith, Ciara, DJ Khaled, The Fab Five from Netflix’s “Queer Eye”, Backpack Kid (aka Russell Horning), and even the cast of Stranger Things does a little dance in the end credits. Can you spot them all?

This music video is definitely not one to miss! Go ahead and let us know what you think in the comments below. And if you've posted a video for the Kiki Challenge, we'd love to see it!
