Our Favorite Cartoon Characters Who Don't Wear Pants

No shoes, no shirt....No pants?

There are hundreds of famous cartoon characters on air every night on channels like Disney, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network. For years, decades even, cartoons have been a way for people to sit back, relax, and enjoy the (often humorous or feel good) show.

Have you ever noticed how many of the cartoon characters in our favorite shows don't wear pants? If you think about it, most cartoon characters are based off of animals in real life, so it really wouldn't be that much of a stretch if they're not wearing pants - except that they wear other articles of clothing, so why not pants?

The Sitch has come up with a list of our favorite cartoon characters who don't wear pants. Which one is your favorite?

10. Porky Pig

This Looney Toons star wears a bowtie, gloves, and jacket, but no shirt or pants. Porky Pig was the first animated character created by Warner Bros. to attract audiences based on his "star power" and many shorts have been made about him. He is famous for ending each episode or short with the phrase "Th-th-th-that's all, folks!" to announce the conclusion of the show.

6. Fred flinstone

Fred Flinstone, the father of The Flinstone's, is a cave man. This show consists of many fun ways to play around with how cave people might have lived - for example, Fred drives a car, but instead of pressing a gas pedal he has to run in order for the car to move. Fred Flinstone only wears a top covering (sort of like a dress), but no pants.

4. Puss n' boots

Puss n' Boots is a lovable cat from the movie Shrek, but that character is actually based off of Puss In Boots, a fairy tale about a cat who tricks people in order to make money and gain power. It's likely that we'll never know why there are so many cartoon characters that don't wear pants. It's also interesting that of this list, 3 of them are Hannah-Barbera Productions shows and 3 of them are Disney. Whatever the reason may be for these pants-less cartoon characters, they will be iconic forever - no pants and all.
