How To Make Money Riding With Uber
Yes, that’s right. You can actually make money riding with Uber
Uber, the world’s largest taxi company which can be found in 72 different countries and is worth somewhere in the ballpark of $50-70 billion is literally everywhere. There’s a good chance that you’ve used the app or at least one of its competitors (Lyft, Via, Juno) or perhaps you use it all the time. If you’re anything like us, then you probably use it quite frequently – which can really eat into your monthly transportation budget. In fact, after we went back and looked at our ride history, we’ve spent around $60 in Ubers in the past week alone.
With all that money spent, it sure would be nice to get a little back. We want you to know that it’s possible to make $2 back on every ride you take, even if it’s only a $4 ride.
You might be thinking that this can’t be true – but it is. A few team members here at The Sitch have been getting $2 a ride for about a year now and they absolutely love it.
First, you’ll need to download the app “Shop Your Way” from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once downloaded, fill out a few questions before getting started. The sign up process only takes a minute or two.
Once you’re all set up and on the homepage, click the three dots on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. Then click “Member Tools” from the menu before clicking on “Partners”. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page until you see Uber. Once on the Uber page, click “Enroll Now”. The app will take some time to load. Once it finishes, it will automatically go back to the home screen.
That’s all there is to it. Once activated, you’ll automatically get $2 on every ride taken. While the money is actually accumulated in “Cashback in points”, you can use those points to purchase a variety of things; ranging from women’s dresses to refrigerators for “free”.
You can also enroll up to 5 debit or credit cards that give you points when shopping at places like Burger King and 1800Flowers.com. The Shop Your Way website also states that points expire one year after they are earned and the company will notify you when your points are about to expire. While not absolutely perfect, it’s still really nice to get something for free, especially when you don’t have to do anything to get it.
