A reportedly fake Drew Barrymore interview was published in one of EgyptAir’s magazines
The Drew Barrymore interview that EgyptAir published is pretty surreal
If you live in the United States, then there’s a good chance that you’ve never flown EgyptAir – unless of course, you’ve gone to Egypt. Well, the airline recently published an interview with Drew Barrymore in one of its in-flight magazines and it has been reported that the entire thing is completely fake. The article not only contains several grammatical errors and odd quotes from the actress but according to a spokesperson working for Barrymore, the 43-year-old never participated in the interview.
The article that is filled with tales of the Barrymore wanting to be a full-time mother and the overall status that women have in the world was written by Aida Takla O’Reilly, the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). O’Reilly has publicly said that the interview is in fact legitimate, although it may have come from a group press conference, which the members of HFPA “utilize for articles in various foreign publications.”
It looks like Barrymore’s team will just have to work with the airline’s PR team to sort things out. Let us know what you think about the Barrymore interview in the comments section below and be sure to subscribe to The Sitch for more funny interview new and other entertaining reads.
